Founded in 1988, KLD Research & Analytics, Inc. is an independent investment research firm providing authoritative sustainability research and indexes.  More than 375 clients worldwide use KLD products and services to integrate environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria into their investment decisions.

Our clients are investment managers, institutional investors, compliance officers, financial advisors, investment consultants and academics. 

KLD’s research products offer comprehensive corporate ESG performance reports; portfolio screening and monitoring; historical ESG ratings data; and tools to integrate data into investment research, compliance or trading systems. 

KLD Consulting offers clients the opportunity to customize products and services to meet their individual investment needs. 

KLD indexes are accepted as the benchmarks for investment strategies that integrate ESG factors.  In 1990, KLD launched the Domini 400 Social Index – the first socially responsible investment index. Today, more than $9.5 billion is invested in funds based on KLD indexes.
